Jacquelyn Grace Vasquez

Age 83 passed away January 23, 2014 under the loving care of her family. Jacquelyn was born December 24, 1930 in Ludington, Michigan the daughter of Walter and Grace (Underwood) Cooper. Jacquie raised 5 daughters in Michigan as well as in various states and countries during her time as a military spouse. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Austin of Muskegon, MI, Cheryl Buckley of Grand Rapids, MI, Lisa (Tony) Secrest of Chicago, IL, Lori (Jack) Whitford-Surdenik of Lansing, MI and Lesli Vasquez of Milwaukee, WI. Jacquie is also survived by siblings Sharon (Gerry) Smith of Grand Haven, Janet Grenell of Muskegon, Jane (Skip) Shield of Holton, and Butch Cooper of Ludington., 10 grandchildren: Tony Bridges of Muskegon, Kim (Bob) David of Grand Rapids, Hunter (Megan) Hyrns, Gage (Jordan) Hyrns, Getty Hyrns of Muskegon, Cassandra Secrest of Grand Rapids, Tanner Whitford of Lansing, Nicole Rae Coon of Milwaukee, Jeffrey Scott Coon of Muskegon and Robert Carr of Milwaukee. Jacquie also has 12 beautiful great grandchildren: Presley David of Grand Rapids, Anela, Kierra, Tyla and Rya Hyrns of Muskegon; Payton Fredrickson, Braelin and Macy Hyrns of Muskegon; Ricky Adame Jr., Josiah Coon, Adina and Ariana Coon of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by 4 siblings and her former husbands, Norman David and Manuel Vasquez. Jacquie's family will celebrate her life on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI with visitation at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.
