Jadwiga Garbek

It’s with profound sadness that the Garbek Family announces her passing at her home on August 9th, 2023, Williamston MI after long battle with illness.

Jadwiga was born in Poland on March 1, 1949 to Stanislaw and Stanislawa Puziuk. There, she attained a degree in accounting and had a successful career as a head accountant. In 1984, Jadwiga and her family emigrated to United States to start a new life.

She is survived by her husband Michal, sons Tomasz (Jennifer) Garbek, Mark Garbek and grandsons Gabryel and Julijan as well as sisters Maria (Antoni) Cimoch, Teresa Chyzy, Slanislawa (Josef) Wisniewski and brother Stanislaw Puziuk.

Upon arrival to United States, Jadwiga attained a degree in nursing and spend all of her new career until her retirement, working with elderly and seriously sick patients providing them with great and loving care.

Jadwiga enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family throughout her entire life. She loved reading medical journals and learning new skills in her nursing field. And, in her spare time, she had great interest in cooking, gardening and travel.

She was appreciated and loved for her generosity, kindness and great disposition. She showed care and understanding for other, was a great role model for her children and mentor to others.

Jadwiga passed away surrounded by her loved ones at her home. She will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
