James Eggert

of Lansing, MichiganAge 71, died October 16, 2007 in Lansing. James was born September 4, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan and was the son of Marvin and Helen (McConnell) Eggert. He retired from the State of Michigan Department of Transportation as a manager. James was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Marlene (Lockwood) Eggert; daughters, Sherril (Kevin) Studley of Concord, Catherine (Richard) Smeage of Holt, Brenda (Dan) Dredge of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Emilee Studley, Samantha Smeage, Alexandra Smeage, Seth Dredge, Paige Dredge. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Camilla Eggert and parents, Marvin and Helen. Visitation is Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 1:30-2:00PM prior to the Service of Remembrance at 2:00PM at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw Hwy, Lansing 48917. Rev. Wesley B. Emerson will be officiating with Military Honors from the Morley F. Oates VFW Post #701. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Potter Park Zoological Society, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48911.
