Janet Marie Sutphin

Some of things Janet really enjoyed were bingo, Elvis Presley, the Lansing Lugnuts , and she loved going to the casino. She adored her family and the love of her life was, without a doubt, her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Violet Garza, of Lansing, MI; her grandchildren, Valerie Rodriguez, Analicia Rodriguez and Edward Rodriguez Jr. (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, Angelo Rodriguez, Miguel Wallace, Ernysia and NiAna Josie Rodriguez; her sister, Peggy (David) Embry; and a host of nephews, nieces, friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Josephine 'Josie' Rodriguez; her siblings, Sharon Beardslee, Ruth 'Carol' West, Debbie Swanson, Douglas Winnie Jr. and sister-in-law, Maria Winnie.

Viewing: Thursday August 13, 2020, 5-8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. A graveside service will take place at 1pm Friday August 14, 2020 at East Lawn Memory Gardens. A luncheon will be held after the graveside service on Friday. The address will be given out at the cemetery for all to attend. Please bring a dish to pass in honor of Janet’s memory.
