There is so much to say about my Aunt Janice. I was more than just a niece to her, I was her daughter. She made me laugh so much with stories of her doing silly things. One story I told her I was gonna tell was when she got locked in the freezer at Walgreens. Oh my goodness she said she was trying to get peoples attention to let her out I asked her if she was cold she said well my glasses were all fogged up and I could barely see out of them. I laughed so hard I cried and I remember her telling me well now you have something funny to tell at my funeral. I have so many memories with her since I was born she has been by my side and I am gonna miss her more than my words can say right now. What an amazing lady she was

Janice was a true friend. We shared many good times at ALA Conventions, lunches and just talks on the phone. I will miss her very much. My heart felt sympathy to her family whom she cherished so much. Lorraine Sparks, ALA member

We remember Janice, our cousin, as a fun-loving, caring person. She loved our kids and jumped at the chance to "babysit" them whenever possible. As grown adults, our children still recall the fun times they had with Janice. We always planned to have a supply of coca-cola in the refrigerator for her when she came. As always "a kid at heart" herself, she loved to play around and joke with all of us. She will be truly missed.
