

Jeanette Faye Sundland (Hulse), age 90, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Born on October 16, 1934, in Lansing, Michigan, Jeanette lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, and joyful expression.
A proud graduate of Everett High School, Jeanette went on to serve the State of Michigan with dedication as a secretary for the state. Her work reflected her strong sense of responsibility and commitment to public service.
Jeanette was known for her spirited personality and zest for life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to express herself—whether through her love of belly dancing or her passion for gardening. Her green thumb brought beauty to every space she touched, and her dancing brought smiles to those around her. She embraced new experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Family was the heart of Jeanette’s world. She cherished time spent at family events and gatherings, always bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went. Her home was a place where memories were made, and love was shared freely.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Cheryl Lynn Campbell (Larry), and Kathy Ann Sundland; her grandchildren: Brianna Lapka, Sarah Campbell, Jennifer Campbell, and Eric Ratkiewicz; her great-grandson Leland Lapka; her sister Thelma McManus; and her devoted friend and partner, Stan Frank. Jeanette is preceded in death by her previous husband Anton Graham Sundland; her parents, Pearl Louise Schulz and Cree Loren Hulse; and her sisters, Joyce Elaine Schirado-Velasquez and Karen Lynne Mullen.
Jeanette’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her—a woman of faith, joy, strength, and unwavering love for family. May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to share in her remarkable journey.
Visitation will be held on May 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W. Saginaw St. Funeral Services will be held on May 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
