Jerome Michael Simon

Jerry graduated from Eastern High School in 1976, shortly after graduating Jerry joined the Navy and served from 1976 to 1982. He was a proud veteran, avid golfer, die hard MSU fan and loving family man who enjoyed the occasional light hearted debate, learning and predicting weather, a mean bowl of chili and spending time with his family. In his professional life Jerry was a heating and cooling technician who thoroughly loved his work and found a second family with A-Okay heating and cooling where he worked for 35 years.

Jerry is proceeded in death by his mother Faye Humphrey, Father Michael Simon and Step mother Judy Simon. Also proceeding Jerry in death is his beloved cat, Susu.

Surviving to continue on his legacy is his wife Julie, Children, Jacob (Kristen) Hatch, Ashley (Lyndsay) Hatch, Jessica (Chris) Pasche, brothers Dennis (Joyce) Simon and Jeff (Andrea) Simon, Grandchildren Dakota, Austin, Haley, Shaun, Leo, and Anastasia. Also surviving are several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. The family would also like to recognize special family friends the Colby’s; Teresa, Rich, Julie, Mike, Jessica, David, Jackie and Chris.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 29, 2017 at 1:00pm. Services will be at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan with visitation from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
