Jerry Bidelman will be remembered with love and admiration by those who were lucky enough to know him. A humble man, and an honorable Vietnam war veteran, who was loved by family, friends, and coworkers, leaves behind a beautiful family that he cared deeply for. He showed his love to those he cared for through his constant, resilient, and selfless work. Jerry carried these traits through all aspects of his life and built a strong family, whose members are proud to follow his example in their own lives.
Through his military service, Jerry was able to travel the world with the love of his life by his side before the couple settled in Lansing, MI to raise their family together. Jerry valued hard work and dedication and lived these values throughout life. After 7 years serving in the military, he worked in the automotive industry for 35 years. He continued to work past the expected retirement age to set a good example for his children and grandchildren of what hard work means. To honor him, the family will continue to work toward their goals and to always love and support each other in a legacy that will carry through many future generations.
Being a family man, he leaves behind countless fond memories in those who know and love him. He is survived by his wife Gladys, oldest daughter Allison and her spouse Daniel Brown, oldest son Michael and his spouse Kelly Bidelman, and five grandchildren: Austin Carr, Mitchell Carr, Katelyn Bidelman, Hunter Bidelman, and Elliahna Bidelman will miss their “papa” immensely. Jerry is greeted in rest by his youngest son, Timothy Bidelman.
