So sorry to learn of the loss of your aunt, Joan Bouck. She was a very close friend of my mother, Betty Thornbury Morris. Together they went through all levels of school in Lansing and graduated from MSU together in 1949. By coincidence, Howard was a friend of my father, David Morris as they grew up in Grand Ledge. At some point after my parents marriage, my mother decided to play matchmaker and with my Dad's help she introduced Joan & Howard. Apparently Howard was so taken with Joan that he practically proposed on the first date. She thought that they might "wait a bit".... Howard waited and they did eventually marry. The two couples remained friends through their lives and the story of Howard & Joan's long marriage and how they met gave my Mom great joy (and great pride in her one matchmaking experience!)

Thinking of all of their extended family.

Aunt Joan was a devoted daughter, wife and loving aunt. She loved to buy special gifts for family occasions, especially for weddings and new babies. We are happy that she is now reunited with Uncle Howard in Heaven. Laurie and Gary
