Age 98, went to be with the Lord, Friday August 22, 2008. Hannah was born January 31, 1910, in Enos, North Dakota and was the daughter of John and Rosalie Meyer. She married Leonard Pohl in August 1943 at St. Louis, MO, while he was still in service. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is preceded in death by her parents; 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 precious years, Leonard; her adopted daughter, Margaret (Scott) Davidson; grandchildren, William J. Shook III, George E. (Rachel) Shook, Kristiana (William) Overstreet, Sarah Davidson; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Brennon, Joshua, and Cameron Shook; sisters, Ashley and Katelyn Overstreet, and siblings Lindsey, Brittany and William J. Shook IV. Hannah was a devoted homemaker and wonderful seamstress. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing the piano and organ, and spending time in her garden tending to her flowers. She was devoted to her grandchildren and was their guide and mentor through life. They will always cherish their memories of her. The Funeral Mass is 11:00AM Monday, August 25, 2008 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing 48917 with visitation from 10-11AM at the church prior to the service.
