John Stenger

John Harvey Stenger Delta Twp. Age 73, our loving husband, and father died in the company of his loving family on December 19, 2012. Mr. Stenger was born June 11, 1939, one of six children of John Otto and Violet Ann (Brow) Stenger. Mr. Stenger was 1964 graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Law School. He dedicated his public service career to various positions with the Michigan Court of Appeals, from which he retired as Commissions of the Court, in 1996. John was an active member of St. Gerard Church. Surviving are his wife of Phyllis Montella Stenger; his 2 sons, John Gregory Stenger, and Philip Matthew Stenger; brother, Tony (Mary Jo) Stenger; 3 sisters, Alice (Ed) Baron, Loy (Jim) Heuer, and Mary Ann (Angelo) Sanabria; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil Thursday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 28, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Friday at church.
