Jonathan Washington

Jonathan Washington, 76, passed away November 18, 2017. He was born February 23, 1941 in Gilmore AR to Jethrow and Lillie Mae (Sims) Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eula Woods, Ora Williams, and Ella Ford; and brother, Samuel Goodlow. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Kendra E. Washington; son, Dwight J. Washington; grandchildren, Adrianna, Kasara, and Angelina; brothers, James (Geraldine) Washington, John (Sharon) Washington, and William Strong; sister, Willie (John) Lilly; and well-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jonathan was a potter, gardener, and a friend to everyone he met. He worked with the State Legislature before becoming a lobbyist/consultant for renewable energy producers. Memorial Service will be 12 Noon Saturday, December 9, 2017 with visitation 1 hour before the service at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Pastor Clive Ellis will officiate. Memorials in Jonathan's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the MSU Horticulture Department. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
