He is survived by his mother, Crus Torres (Florincio); sisters, Annie Archer, Theresa Archer, Michelle Keyes (Ted); brother, Rolando Archer (Marcie); children, Liza Archer, Carol Archer (Albert Palacio), Sheri Archer; grandchildren, Alb Palacio, Carisma Palacio, Larissa Palacio, Alex Laredo Jr. He was loved by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jose was head of engineering for the hotel industry. He was very mechanically inclined and a problem solver. In his free time Jose loved fishing and playing pool. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and MSU Spartans. Most of all, Jose's favorite thing was making you laugh.
A memorial service will be held at Cadgewith Farms Clubhouse,
2300 E State Rd. Lansing, MI 48906,on January 8th 2026 at 12:00. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service.
