Joseph Donald Linn

Joe was born October 23, 1960 to the late Donald and Margaret (Leitch) Linn. He passed peacefully and surrounded by love on Nov. 9th from unexpected but natural causes.

He lived his whole life in Lansing, graduating from Lansing Catholic High School in 1978 and attended Lansing Community College. Although he had both physical and mental challenges; he lived independently and worked full time in the service industry until his retirement during the Covid pandemic. Recently he was participating in the PACE program, which he enjoyed and provided him much support.

Joe is survived by brothers Jim (Kathy Ossian) Bloomfield Hills and John (Rita) Greensboro, NC. Sisters Jane (Dave Kubicek) West Bloomfield and Janet Houston, TX. Also survived by 9 nieces, nephews, their spouses and 17 great-nieces and nephews. Many Linn and Leitch cousins also survive as well as his aunt Noreene (Linn) Archambeau of Grayling.

Joe was extremely smart, kind and often demonstrated his thoughtfulness and generosity, most recently by his desire to be an organ donor.

Our family wishes to thank the staff at PACE, Sparrow Hospital ICU and the Gift of Life Michigan for all their assistance they gave to Joe and our family. We also wish to thank all of our family and friends for their prayers, support and love. It is very much appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
