

February 19, 2026 at the age of 72 years and 355 days. She was born on March 2, 1953 at Warner Robbins AFB, Georgia. She grew up from age 11 in Lansing, Michigan.
She worked as a teacher in Louisville, KY and in Lansing, MI. Later, she worked for the State of Michigan and lastly, Joy worked at MSU as an Executive Secretary in Intramural Sports.
Joy spent many years enjoying making counted cross stitch pictures and gave them generously to others. She loved to travel when she could with friends or groups. 'Short-term' missions to Kenya were also a passion of hers. She was actively involved at Trinity Church with Pioneer Girls, The Camera Ministry, as well as the Single Adult Ministry in planning events. Joy's home was always open for gatherings, games, movie nights, and yard games.
She is preceded in death by parents, John and Joan Wolfe. She is survived by her sisters, Judy Fotis (and Nick), Janice Trudgeon (and William), and nieces Theresa Fotis and Christin Walker (and Brandon) as well as grandniece, Ember, and grandnephew, Aiden.
The family would like to thank Valley View Care Center, Grand Rapids, MI for the care and compassion they showed Joy in her final years and days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917 on Saturday, February 28, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am with a reception luncheon following the Service at 12:00 pm.
