Joyce Ann Braun

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home to her Lord on October 20, 2015. She was born in Lansing Michigan on June 27, 1932. After raising her three boys she attended Lansing Community College and became a registered nurse which she cherished as a personal accomplishment. She also worked at Eastern High School as a secretary where she nurtured troubled kids to become graduating students. Many said they could not have made it without her.

She was preceded in death by her parents to Frank and Monna Mae (Dennison) Martin and her sister June Ward. Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Thomas (Chuck) Braun Sr., brother Lawrence Martin, her children, Thomas Braun Jr. (Karen), Michael Braun (Laurie), Timothy Braun (Lori Barber), eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren which she loved dearly.

She liked to spoil friends and family with her wonderful homemade potato soup, pineapple upside down cake and peanut butter fudge. Joyce was a devoted wife, a mother to many outside of the family, was a founding member of St. Therese Church, belonged to the St. Bernadette circle for 50 years, a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to follow weekly and weekend softball tournaments and thoroughly enjoyed time with her close friends and neighbors. Joyce will be missed by many because of her caring heart and unforgiving love for all who knew her

Funeral Mass is 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Parish, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing with Fr. John Fain officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM at the church prior to mass. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Therese/St. Vincent De Paul Food Bank. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
