John it is sad to oose another in our family. Yoiu were gone too soon and shoulkd have had many more years. I thank you for being by my fathers side when he was sick I know how much you loved one another.  So sad to see another life gone. May the Angels carry you swiftly home.... Johnny was a classmate (Eastern High) of mine and although it's been many years, I still remember his kindness and wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to his entire family.

I had the pleasure of working with Juan for many years. He was a great guy with an enduring lovable spirit. Always with a smile on his face, that's how I'll remember him. I'm so glad I checked the State Journal today or I may not ever had known as when I retired in 2001, I moved away from Lansing. May the family always carry his spirit in your soul and the smile he wore in your hearts where the precious memories are kept. Rest In Peace dear friend. I'll always remember the times when you tried to teach me Spanish.

I knew Juan for many years during his boxing carrier. He was a good friend and college. I remember watching him box and he had a great hook with real drive and determination. I remember when he started the Gallo Boxing club with his cousin Joe. I very much enjoyed working with them matching fights and talking boxing. juan brought with him a great personality to the boxing game. It takes a very special person to train fighters, to gain there trust, there respect and you must be able to convince them they can and will win. The boxers you trained will never forget what you did for them. Boxing is not about winning or losing it is about taking a young boy and guiding them to becoming a man.Juan had this gift and used it to improve the lives of many young people. Juan was a winner and a good friend to many. May god bless and be with his family in this time of need. Rest in Peace my friend- Steven Mcalister- Perry boxing team head coach and friend.

We were deeply saddened to learn of John's sudden passing.  We have so many fond memories of happy times spent at our home in Michigan.  We still have that pair of shoes he bought my father, Aniceto Moron, which by the way are Stacey Adams, not Austin Reeds.  I do believe that was the last pair of shoes our father wore so proudly. May God have John in his Sainted Glory, and may he comfort you in this difficult time.

To the Bermudez Family, We are so sad to hear about John's passing.  He was such a nice guy and we always had fun together.  I'll never forget that he once offered to buy our dad (Aniceto Moron) a pair of Austin Reed shoes not knowing that the shoes were extremely expensive.  But he did not bat an eye and just happily paid the huge bill making an old man very happy. That was John, generous to a flaw and always willing to give you the shirt off his back.  May God help you heal from this painful loss.
