

Juan attended Beekman Center until he graduated to Adult Daily Living Transition North, where he got the nickname, “Coach”.
He enjoyed playing Uno, dominos, building towers with blocks to knock them down, dancing, and driving around town listening to Tejano music. He is a big fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball team and an avid MSU Spartan fan. His favorite movies are Sandlot, Fred Claus, Elf, and Home Alone.
Juan is survived by his siblings, Felix Jr. (Aida) Montalvo, Susie Montalvo, Fernando (Maria) Montalvo, Mario Montalvo, Rosie (Alex) Gomez, Carol (Russ) Ostrom, Emma (Billy) Salazar, Elva (Tony) Garza and many nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Sr. and Susana Montalvo; brother, Authuro Montalvo; nephew, Eric M. Gomez Sr; and niece, Aaliya.
A visitation for Juan will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Cristo Rey Church, 201 W Miller Rd, Lansing, MI 48911. Following the service, Juan will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, 2520 W Willow St, Lansing, MI 48917.
Per the family's request, face masks are encouraged.
