On June 24, 1942, a beautiful baby girl was born to Clemson and Ruby Calhoun in Alpine, Alabama. They loving named this blessing Juliette Pearl Calhoun. At an early age, Juliette accepted Christ and faithfully served Him until her passing.
After relocating to Lansing, Michigan in 1960, Juliette married the love of her life, James Cordell McIntosh, Sr. on April 17, 1965. Together, they quickly built a life of love and companionship over the next 56 years.
Juliette devoted her professional career to the field of cosmetology. She faithfully served clients in Lansing, Michigan for more than 50 years. Juliette possessed a unique skill set and took pride in her diverse group of clients. Juliette’s most fulfilling rewards were the relationships she established with her many friends over the years. Her compassionate heart and ability to always lend a listening ear promoted a family atmosphere full of love and God’s grace.
Juliette Pearl McIntosh, a loving and faithful servant, went home to live eternally in the presence of God and the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 4th in Lansing, Michigan, at age 78. Juliette was surrounded by her loving family.
Juliette was proceeded in death by her parents, Clemson and Ruby Calhoun; brother, Virgil Calhoun; sisters, Eunice Calhoun DeMyers and Edna Swain.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved and devoted husband, James McIntosh Sr.; children, Samuel Jerome Calhoun, James McIntosh, II and daughter-in-law, Dr. Cherise McIntosh of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Samuel Jerome Calhoun, Jr. (Jennifer) of San Antonio, Texas, Roman Calhoun and Jasmine Calhoun of Lansing, Michigan, Ryan and McKinley McIntosh of Houston, Texas; cherished siblings, Clemson Calhoun, Jr. (Barbara) of Lansing, Michigan, Larry Calhoun of Irvington, New Jersey, Lawrence Calhoun (Betty) of Alpine, Alabama, and Henry Calhoun of Anderson, Indiana; sisters; Lucinda Sampson (Sam) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Surena Strudwick (Allen) of Lansing, Michigan, and Lafayette Paschall (Rick) of Jackson, Michigan. Two other special people that held a loving place in Juliette’s heart were third son, Ryan Brand (Dalana) of Clayton, California and nephew, Ricky Paschall, II. of Jackson, Michigan. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, and other relatives who add to those who will greatly miss her.
