Of Okemos, MichiganBorn October 22, 1949, the daughter of Theodore Haughton and Marjory Hass, Karen Brown died December 24, 2008 at the age of 59. Karen loved working in her yard, gardening, doing crafts, and hanging out with the ?Eberhard Girls?, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked at Purina in Millett, MI for 20 years as a biller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Brown in 1986. She is survived by her 2 sons, Phillip Brown, and Jason (Amy) Brown and their children, SaRae? Zimmerman, Aidan and Jordan Brown; her boyfriend of 20 years, Mickey Nylander and his children, Mick Jr. (Jill), Alexandria, Genevieve, and Maxwell Nylander; Mother, Marjory Haas; brother, Ted (Anna) Haughton; sister, Becky Haughton; nephew, Jamar; great-niece, Tehya Bradford.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2009 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
