Ken passed away peacefully on March 4, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 13, 1930 in Craig, Colorado. He will be remembered well and dearly missed by many friends and family. He retired after 34 years from Michigan State University, Grounds Department. He enjoyed fishing, maintaining his perfect lawn, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ceo Oversmith; sisters, Jean, Betty, and Barbara. He will be deeply mourned by his wife of 58 wonderful years, Shirley; 2 daughters, Debra (Brian) Nadeau and Linda; granddaughter, Kelly (Nichlos) Cunningham, great-granddaughters, Monica and Abigail. Ken was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be missed greatly. His family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 12 P.M. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with Demphna Krikorian officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
