Our loving husband, father, and grandfather was called home by the Lord on September 4, 2017 at the age of 72. Kim was born on May 6, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas to Florence and Jack Little. He spent most of his life in Michigan. As a child he enjoyed spending time on Lake Lansing. Kim graduated from Dewitt High School in 1963 where he enjoyed playing football and basketball; he also enjoyed school plays, clubs, and many friendships. He met the love his life, Kathy, in 1963 and they were married on May 30, 1964.
Kim loved people. His career in sales helped him develop many friendships as did his interest in sports. During his young adult life he played on many softball teams. He was an active father to his four children and their friends, teaching them baseball, basketball, cross country skiing, and tennis. Later in life, Kim discovered and fell in love with golf. He met some wonderful friends while playing golf and looked forward to his yearly golf trip. He turned his love of sports into a career in sporting goods. He enjoyed working with his great friend, Dean Hibbler. Kim was the owner-operator of Delta Embroidery for many years and retired from the business in 2015.
Kim loved taking walks with his wife, Kathy, and their dog, Rocky. They walked on the nature paths around Lansing and along Lake Michigan in Ludington. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Ludington with family and friends. He cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
Kim believed that his real calling in life was to to tell others of his incredible Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of Mount Hope Church for over 30 years. You could not spend any time with Kim without hearing his testimony about how great his God is and how God had changed his life, blessed his marriage, and strengthened his family. Kim was a real servant of the Lord. Even in the hospital at the end of his life, Kim was telling everyone he met about the goodness of the Lord.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Kathleen "Kathy" Little; four children, Kevin Little of Lansing, Keith Vaquera-Little and his wife Gloria of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Kelly Samuelson and her husband Wade of Centralia, Washington, and Kimberly Wesley of Lansing; eleven grandchildren, Julian Vaquera-Little; Kylie, Katie, Hallie, and Maizy Samuelson; Colton, Megan, Madison, Britten, Isabella, and Averie Wesley; and many other family members and friends.
