Kurt worked as a Journeyman Machinist for 40 years in the Lansing and Muskegon areas. Kurt carried his machinist skills over to work on his off-road vehicles for use at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. In addition to off-roading, he enjoyed boating on Silver Lake.
Kurt was a hard worker and dedicated to his trade. Kurt was a proud father to his two sons and loved having his grandchildren visit him at his west Michigan home.
Kurt is survived by his sons, Matthew Waldemar Foess and Nicholas Richard Foess; grandchildren Christina, Kaylee, and Connor; sisters Sally (Jim) Hacker and Susan (Dale) Sherby; and many friends.
Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
