Lillian Ross

of Lansing-HoltAge 87, passed away April 21, 2007. Lillian was born February 23, 1920 in Lansing, MI the daughter of William H. & Rachel C. (Yoder) Ross. She graduated in 1939 from Eastern High School and Michigan State University in 1943.

She served with the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. She worked from 1945 to 1980 at the Michigan School for the Blind as Purchasing Agent. She enjoyed mowing the grass with her John Deere tractor at her cottage on Marble Lake, in Coldwater, MI. She enjoyed having breakfast on Saturday mornings with her friends, playing cards, dancing, fishing, and having fun. She was an avid M.S.U. fan, holding football season tickets for 58 years, and she loved everything Michigan State. Surviving are her brother, William Ross of Pueblo, CO; family members, Barbara & Robert Soos of Coldwater; Sallie & Timothy (Soos) Tallon and their children, Melissa, Allison, and Ryan Tallon all of Kalamazoo; Kathie & Wayne (Soos) Bishop and their children, Robert, Brian, and Kevin Bishop all of Middleville; Jeannie & Michael (Soos) Martell and their children, Eric (Jessica) Johnson, Philip (Morgan) Johnson, Garrett and Erin Martell all of Texas; Robert & Melanie Soos, and their children, Ian and Colin Soos all of Illinois; and special friends, Joyce Williams, Betty Jane Neuman, Martha Keeler, Jo Brunger, Fran Johnson, Jeanne Orszag, John & Beth Watson all of Lansing and John Bullock of Marquette, and Monica & Ed Knapp of Denver, CO.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with Services 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 25, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. In honor of Aunt Lil please wear your green and white M.S.U. colors for services. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors by Morley S. Oates V.F.W. Post #701.
