Lucille Kraus

Lucille was the 2nd of 3 children of William and Julia Kabelitz, was called home to her Maker on January 8, 2011 at the age of 85. Lucille was a hard working, generous woman who was loved by many. On April 12, 1947, Lucille married her loving husband, Ernest William Kraus. Lucille was a an obedient daughter, faithful wife, nurturing mother, doting grandmother, admiring great-grandmother, and even managed to be a proud great-great grandmother before her passing. Lucille enjoyed music, art, crocheting, baking, flower gardening, being an artistic creative person, and caring for her family. She will long be remembered for her love, devotion, warmth, and beauty. She retired in 1981 from Farm Bureau Insurance after 19 years of service.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Surviving are her 5 children Barbara (Ken) Birringer, Carole (Steve) Roberts, Julia Ann Kraus, Dale (Lori) Kraus, and Faye Lynn Kraus, and her beloved 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her great-great granddaughter; and her sister, Ernestine Vsetula, and brother, Ronald Kabelitz.

Visitation will be from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday with services 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 11, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Chaplain Don Sleeman officiating.
