

Luke Hasbany, 72, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2026, surrounded by love. Born on July 17, 1953, Luke lived a life marked by charisma, humor, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the people and experiences that brought him joy.
Luke possessed a vibrant spirit and an unmistakable presence. Known for his enduring optimism, he moved through life with remarkable energy and charm. He loved golf, good conversation, music, dancing, and time spent with family and friends. Whether on a golf course, around a fire pit, or gathered with loved ones at a favorite local spot, Luke brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.
Luke proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, a formative chapter in his life. He later graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in computer science, a professional accomplishment he remained especially proud of throughout his life. He retired from the State of Michigan after serving as an insurance fraud investigator.
He was beloved by countless friends and extended family members throughout his life because he truly never met a stranger. His family is deeply grateful for the love and friendship shared with him over the years.
Luke will be remembered for the light he brought into the lives of others.
Luke is survived by his daughters, Brooke (Jeff) Lytle and Elisabeth (Stephen) Anderson; his son, Michael (Tiffany) Hasbany; his grandsons, Ryan, Michael, and Amir Hasbany; his granddaughters, Elodie and Beatrice Anderson; and his great-grandson, Giovanni Hasbany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Christine Hasbany; his brother, Mark Hasbany; Anita Willemse; and Sandi Hasbany.
In accordance with Luke’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral or memorial service. Instead, family and friends will gather in the coming months to celebrate his life with a golf scramble in his honor. Additional details will be shared at a later date.
