Maegan Elizabeth Haywood

January 11, 1985 – January 19, 2024
Obituary of Maegan Elizabeth Haywood
IN THE CARE OF

Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes

Maegan Elizabeth Haywood, 39, went home to be with her Lord and Savior and loved ones who preceded her on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Born on January 11, 1985 in Jackson, MI, Maegan was the eldest child of John W. Haywood III and Tara Lynn Miller. She previously attended Battle Creek Central High School and eventually worked in the restaurant industry and manufacturing sector, respectively. Friends warmly remember Maegan as having a heart of gold and a cheery disposition and say would light up the room with her warm and bright smile. Maegan relished family time, cooking, baking and shopping. she loved having "movies and munchies" nights with her family and friends, especially enjoying sci-fi and comedies. Having an appreciation for contemporary Chirstian music, Maegan thoroughly enjoyed live concerts and outdoor music festivals. she cherished visiting Lake Michigan beaches as a child, and later felt blessed to visit with her own children.

Maegan was a dedicated member of the Army National Guard Transporation unit, and (much to her family's surprise) enjoyed basic training and learning weaponry and truck driving, as she selflessly served her country.

Maegan is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Fether; son, Blake Orr; father, John W. (Kim) Haywood III of Springfield, MI; mother, Tara Lynn (Scott Thompson) Miller of Owosso, MI; brothers, David Haywood of Battle Creek, MI and Jason (Barbie) Haywood of Miami, FL; stepsister, Ashley (Aaron) Black of Battle Creek, MI; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John W. (Marcia Kay) Haywood II and Wilma Jean Haywood; and maternal grandparents, Dean and Diana Miller.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
