

Margaret A. (Gardner) Strachan of Lansing died Tuesday, December 4th. Born August 16, 1932 in Lansing, to Dwight & Eleanor (Currey) Rich, Margaret is survived by five children, four step-children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren: daughters, Deborah (Richard) Gaus of Lansing, Lucinda (Albert) Sears of Nashville, MI; sons, William Joseph (Judy) Gardner of Lansing, Daniel (Karen) Gardner of Lansing, Mark Gardner of Lansing; step-children, Susan (William) Mack, Charles (Lisa) Strachan, Meredith Reif, and Cynthia Strachan; grandchildren, Sarah Gaus, Jessica Gaus, Robert Gardner, Scott (Elizabeth) Gardner, Jeremy Gardner, Ryan Gardner, Bryan Gardner, Rebecca (Timothy) Wohlfort, and Justin Redoutey, Kaylee Gardner, Ashley Sears, Alisha Sears, and Cordelia Sears. Margaret is also survived by one sister, Carolyn Wickham of East Lansing. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands William Gardner and, Charles Strachan, and one sister, Elizabeth Osborn. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Rose Standish Circle, as well as a fifty-year member of P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter AG, and was a volunteer at Sparrow Hospital for sixteen-years. A Memorial Service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church on Monday, December 10th, at 10:30A.M..
