Born January 18, 1945 in Laredo, TX, to Ruperto and Evangelina Chavez, passed away September 5, 2011 at the age of 66. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Surviving are daughter, Jennifer Chavez; 2 sons, Rene Limones and Anthony Chavez; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 3 brothers; 1 sister and many nieces and nephews. Maria was a resident of Lansing for over 40 years. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
