Maria Trevino

Maria O. Trevino, 68, of Lansing, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. She was born January 22, 1949 to Ramon and Augustina Gonzales in San Juan, Texas. After moving to the Lansing area, she worked for social services at the State of Michigan for many years. Maria loved all her children and grandchildren. She liked to attend Mexican dances, gather her family for celebrations, and go to the casinos. She was always the life of the party.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Laurie Trevino.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Alberto Trevino; her children, Michael (Rosa) Trevino, Alberto Trevino Jr., Cynthia Trevino, Carlos (Trish Graves) Trevino, and Derrick Trevino; her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Nathan, Nick, Justin, Abel, Brittney, Ashley, Jacob, and Collin; her three great-grandchildren, D’Marhiana, AnEsella, and D’zayvion; and her brothers and sisters, Julian, Art, Ramon, Oscar, Tony, Gilbert, Raul, David, Joe, Rosie, Gracie, Ernestine, Lucy, Rafaela, and Linda.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 W. Miller Rd., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass, and on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 3pm until 6pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48912.
