Marie Bacigal

Age 79, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother went home to the Lord on October 12, 2012. Born in Maple Grove Twp. on January 15, 1933, the daughter of Philip and Lorretta (Ruddy) Birchmeier. Marie has been a member of St. Gerard Church for 46 years, where she was active in many areas serving as President of the Women?s Guild and teacher of Religious Education, and Tendercare ministry. She was a member of the former St. Lawrence Auxiliary (President for two terms) and the Mary Magdalen League for over 25 years, serving in many elected positions. She also served on Sparrow Women?s Board.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Frank; 3 children, Dan (Judy) Bacigal, Mark Bacigal, and Francine (David) Wresinski; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Tom) Ashley, Angela Bacigal, Derek Bacigal, Nicole Bacigal, Shay Wresinski, Taylor Wresinski, and Hannah Dodge; 2 great-grandchildren, Dylan Bautel and Madison Ashley; brothers, Ralph (June) Birchmeier, and Merle (Kathy) Birchmeier; sister, Norma (Richard) Beardslee. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Dodak, and brothers, John and Howard.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday at church.
