Marilyn Annabelle Kintigh, age 85, was called home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015. Marilyn was born in Lansing in 1929 and worked a variety of jobs during her lifetime, including polishing airplane propellers in a converted automobile factory during WWII. However, her calling was as a seamstress. Marilyn did alterations at various Lansing businesses but her belief that everything could be improved lead her to open her own alteration business in her basement. The business grew quickly and in just a matter of months, she opened her own store in Holt named Marilyn's Bridal shop which not only did general alterations but specialized in custom made wedding gowns. Marilyn will be remembered for her caring, compassionate, and loving nature towards others as well as for her perseverance and attention to detail. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell E. Kintigh, parents Jacob and Leona Sitzman, and brother Harold Sitzman. Marilyn is survived by sons, Gary Howay and Jay Moon; daughter Pamela Babcock; step-children Thomas (Christine) Kintigh, Bonnie Creamer, Kathy Broker, and Deborah Estell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date with internment to follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Stoneleigh Residence Hospice House in Lansing, Michigan. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Tiffany Funeral Home.
