Marlene Emma (Reppert) Baker Lansing, Michigan

Marlene Emma (Reppert) Baker was born on September 26, 1938 in Morenci, Michigan to Theo and Twila (Shoup) Reppert. She passed from this life to eternal life in heaven on July 2, 2018 in Arizona at the age of 79. She was a nurse for most of her adult life working at a number of locations in Michigan, including many years as an industrial nurse in the Lansing area.She loved horses, reading, playing card games, and Yahtzee; she also liked a good practical joke. Later in life she developed kidney failure and was on dialysis for the last years she was with us.

Marlene was preceded in death by her father, Theo Reppert; her mother, Twila Knoblauch; her step-father, Herb Knoblauch; and two brothers, Darrell Knoblauch and Mark Knoblauch. Two infant daughters, Jerolyn Sue Gorsuch and Twila Jane Gorsuch also preceded her in death. Marlene is survived by her husband, Richard Baker; daughters, Julie (Douglas) Anderson, Joy Gorsuch, Jennifer (Eric) Lison; and her sister Patricia (Ron) Keller. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kristopher Finison, Lindsay Finison, Zachary Morway, Sadie Morway, Suzanna Morway, Tara Kenny, Andrea Palomba, Bailey Akers, Melanie McNabb, and Pamela Torzewski; great grandchildren; Rebekah, Stella, Micah, Jonah, Colton, Lorelei, and Quinn. There were many other relatives and close friends that held a very special place in Marlene’s life and we are thankful for all of them.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 600 S. Main St., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Interment will be beside her infant daughters at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Michigan at a later date.
