

Martin Frank Schultz, Jr. ?Marty? DeWitt Age 84, earned his permanent wings on February 18, 2012. Born December 25, 1927 in Chicago, Il. Martin retired in Aug. 1984 as an administrator with the Bureau of Aeronautics, Michigan Department of Transportation after 38 years of service. He was the owner of Custom Aviation & Electronics for 8 years. In retirement, he was a regional manager for Primerica Financial Services. He was a very active member of the St. Therese Parish, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Marilyn J. Schultz; 5 children, Stephen (Leslie) Schultz, Mary (Bill) Hill, Thomas (Marilyn) Schultz, Peter (Debora) Schultz, and Martha (Tom) Thompson; 9 grandchildren, Christine (Jacob) Sommer, Melissa (Eric) Rothert, Joel Hill, Matthew (Anita) Schultz, Scott Hill -Schultz, Vincent Parker, Alexander Thompson, Kathleen Thompson, and Anderson Thompson; 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Irene Sibal; brother, James (Cheryl) Schultz. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Veronica & Martin Schultz, Sr. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday (Today) with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil Service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 21, at St. Therese Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing with Fr. Michael Williams presiding. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday at church. Rite of committal St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt in memory of Martin.
