Marvin Arntson

Age 85, passed away July 10, 2011 at his home. Marvin retired in 1984 as Deputy Fire Chief from the East Lansing Fire Department after 32 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific. He was life member of the Morley Oates V.F.W. Post #701; Masonic Lodge #66; American Legion; and was a past member of Eagles Lodge #4891 and Moose #288. He enjoyed fishing, construction-having built his home and cottage, and mowing and caring for his yard.

Surviving are his 2 sons, Ronald L. (LuAnne) Arntson, and Marvin R. ?Randy? Arntson; 3 grandchildren Scott (Tiffany), Christian, and Joshua Arntson; great-granddaughter, Gracie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 1986, and he was the last of 7 brothers.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday with services 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 15th in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Rev. C.
