I met Mary my first day at DTMB 14 years ago. She was so warm and welcoming, especially with her bright smile, infectious laugh and those bear hugs! I was very fortunate to have immediately formed a bond with Mary on day 1. We had some great times including Hustle lessons at Gregory's, showers, parties and my Wedding. I am so blessed to have had her as a friend. She was the glue that held our Purchasing family together. Even if you were having a bad day, Mary knew how to make it all better. Her love was ever so comforting. We loved sharing pictures of our boys and talking about her plans with them for the weekend. I still remember riding around town in her SUV, singing to songs on the radio and her Famous Hamburger Dip! Mary, you'll always be in my heart and I hope you are doing the Cha Cha Slide up in Heaven!! Love you:)

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Mary's family. Mary was a wonderful woman. She was one of the first people to really make me feel welcome when I started at DTMB. It didn't take her long to decide that we were going to be friends, which she announced - along with the declaration that she loved to give hugs. And boy, did she ever. Mary gave the best hugs. If I made the mistake of walking past her cubicle and didn't stop for my morning hug, I'd hear about it. Not many people are that loving anymore, but she was. I'm going to miss her. I'm going to miss her hugs. And I'm going to miss that giggle. She could always make me laugh, no matter what was happening.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of our loss. I didn't work with Mary on a daily basis, but every encounter I had with her was positive. She was always supportive, always smiling. It was easy to consider her a friend even though I didn't see her very often. My heart goes out to her family and I know her co-workers will miss her greatly.

My condolences and prayers go to Mary's family. She was a dear, GREAT friend. I am so glad our paths crossed, I will miss our chats, laughs, lunches and especially the hugs! She will always have a place in my heart!! This isn't good bye, but see ya later! Rest in peace my dear friend, until we meet again!! Love and miss you!

My heart and prayers go out to Mary's beautiful family. May God hold all of you close, bring you comfort and dry your tears as you go through this very difficult loss. Mary was a dear and special friend who surely touched my heart and made me a better person. I met Mary in 1996 when I started working at DMB Office of Purchasing and she had me at "Hello" with her bright gorgeous smile. Mary and I had so much fun and laughed and giggled together all the time. We both really liked Michael and Janet Jackson's music and whenever one of their songs would come on her office radio, she would call me over and we would sing, dance and laugh together in her little office. We even went to the Michael Jackson "This is It" movie together and sang, danced in our seats, ate popcorn and cried together. I'm grateful that Mary and I stayed friends over all these years and whenever we would talk, we would always catch up and share how each of our families were doing. Mary sure loved her family and always beamed with joy and pride as she spoke about each and everyone of you, including those adorable grandsons. Mary was the glue with her work friends....we could always count on her to send us inspirational quotes and funny little cartoons and jokes just at the right time when we needed them most. Mary had a gift for lifting others up and filling a room with light. Every time we spoke by phone, in person or email, we would always end our conversation by saying "Love You." I sure love Mary. She was truly one of the most humble, sweet and loving people I have ever had the honor to know and call my friend. I feel so blessed to have had Mary in my life and will forever miss her very deeply. From one of Mary's and my favorite songs from Janet Jackson, "Together Again," "Every where I go....Every smile I see....I know you are there....Smilin back at me." God has special plans for Mary in heaven as she surely is an angel. God bless you my dear friend and God bless Mary's family.

As I sit in my office I was shocked but yet understand that we all leave the shell, tent, body, to be with Christ Jesus Our Lord and Savior. Mary would send me e-mails when I worked in the Mason bldg. about the love of Christ and was always there if I needed to talk. I love you Mary and I know from Heaven you hear all of us.

I worked with Mary for some 16 years at the DTMB. I always found her to be an encouragement to talk to and an inspiring example of being honest, kind and considerate.
