Mary Jeanette Savage

Jeanette Savage born September 17, 1940 in Mecosta, Michigan, the daughter of Albert Issac and May Elmira (Geasler) Tice, passed away November 23, 2013 at the age of 73. She was active in her church for nearly 50 years, volunteered at Greater Lansing Food Bank, Food Movers, Gleeners and Toys for Tots and participated in Hartland High School alumni. She retired from service to the City of Lansing. Jeanette enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, needlepoint, and country music. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Cora and Helen; and brother, Fay. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert; two daughters, Katherine (Dennis) Reigler and Lisa (Bill) Robinson; step-daughters, Linda (Chris) Ross and Robin (Greg) Ruggie; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Loanna and Sharon. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5301 Holt Rd., Holt, Michigan 48842. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank P.O. Box 16224, Lansing, MI 48901.
