Mary Jane Shauver

Mary was married to Duane Gerald Shauver who preceded her in death on December 21, 2018. Mary was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 29, 1947 to Victor and Doris Hebert who also preceded her in death.

Mary is one of five children, preceded in death by her brother, Donald Hebert; brother-in-laws, Dale, Dennis, Donnie, Harold Doolittle, and Tom Hernly; and sister-in-law, Loretta Hernly. She is survived by her children, Steven (Carole), Pat (Heather), and Vickie Kessler (Tim); eight grandchildren, Tamara, Victoria, Melinda, Jordan, Clifford, Kortney, Austin, and Kailey; one great-grandchild, Grayson; sisters, Beverly Phillips (Richard) and Doris Doolittle; brother, James Hebert; brother-in-law, Charlie; sister-in-law, Becky; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Lois.

Mary graduated from Monsignor John A. Gabriel High School in 1965. Mary loved spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was always willing to help others in times of need even when she would have to make personal sacrifices for herself. She was always working in her yard, keeping it beautiful and free of weeds. She loved watching football and betting on games with her nephew. She was a strong woman, a fighter, and defender of her family. She was all that you could hope for in a mother, grandmother, and friend. The world will be a little less without her.
