Max was a great neighbor and friend -- and the coolest dad on the block. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Van Vleck family during this time of grieving and healing.

Mrs Van Vleck and Family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Van Vleck, We spoke of you often and have such fun memories of climbing over the fence to go swimming in each others pools, going and having a tastee treat and my mom and dad playing cards with them. He will be missed.

Lucille and family, I am so sorry to hear of Max's passing. I wish I lived closer and could join you to celebrate his life. There are so many great memories over the years, especially at Tastee Freeze where I thought it was the coolest that we could walk right in the back of the store with June & get ice cream! Dear Lucille & family:
I read with great sadness about Max's passing.  He and I were classmates at Ionia High, and for 3 years were baseball teammates on Ionia's team.  I am sorry not to have contacted him while we were in East Lansing together.  As I remember, you, Lucille, were a neighbor of ours on Lafayette street in Ionia, and I think I remember your maiden name was Kolarik.  My great sympathies are with you and your family.
