Age 72, our loving husband, father, grandfather was called home to his Lord on December 24, 2014. Born August 4, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado. Melvin began his career as a banker at American Bank & Trust, and he later joined General Motors dealerships as a department manager for many years.

He was a member, deacon, and member of the building and grounds committee of Valley Farms Baptist Church. He was a member of the Civitan Service Club, where he had served as club president and district governor. He was a member of the University Club.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Rhoda L. Humphrey; son, Gregory (Heather) Humphrey; one grandchild; 2 step-children, Brian Kzeski, and Cindy (Steven) Smith; 5 step grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin H. Sr. & Maryanne Humphrey.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday with the Memorial Service 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Valley Farms Baptist Church, 1141 E. State Rd, Lansing with Pastor Dave Leisman officiating.
