Melvin H. Lill passed away on April 27, 2023 at the age of 100. Born April 12, 1923 in Rocky Ford, CO to Joe and Faye (Hartley) Lill. A graduate of East Lansing High and MSU, he retired from an engineering career with FMC Corp. in San Jose, CA in 1988. He loved motorcycle trail riding and was a founding member of the Cycle Conservation of MI in 1968. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjory in 2018 at the age of 91 of Houston, TX. They married on August 23, 1947. He is also predeceased by a sister, Althea and brothers Robert and Greg.
Melvin is survived by his children, Peggy Pennington of Hastings, MI, Mary Elbe of Medford, OR and daughter-in-law, Tamra Booke of Portland, MI; grandchildren Bryan Elbe, Erin (Elbe) Lockwood, Kassi Tamres and James Lill; and great grandchildren Brooklyn and Colt Lockwood.
Inurnment will take place at Glendale Cemetery, Meridian Township, MI.
