Michael J. Hill, born on November 25, 1951 in Lansing, the son of James Earl and the late Marie (Bills) Knisely passed away on August 18, 2013 at the age of 61. He served in the United States Army and retired from General Motors Corporation. He enjoyed shooting pool, listening to music and loved his pets. He was also a proud member of the NRA. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. Michael will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie; two sons, Michael P (Sara) and Joseph D. Hill; four grandchildren, Breanna, Logun, Paxton, and Oonagh Hill; and his father James Earl Hill. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM. Arrangements made by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. So glad I had the chance to reconnect with Mike this pass year, since Aunt Marie passed, him and I lost touch after we grew up and moved on. I didn't know the kids that well, but did see them once in a while when they were at Aunt Marie's. Connie, he talked very highly of you, and how much of a help you were to him. Hugs and prayers goes out to the family. Miss you Uncle Jim.. Love Tammy

Mike, was one of the best d...ed committee men, that local 652 EVER had! He was also and old friend...I am very sorry to hear of his passing. Please, know Connie that you are in my thoughts
