Mildred "Liz" L. Wilson

During her high school years she received letters in tennis and basketball, where her team made state champions. In her earlier years she was a member of the Jackson Baptist Church. She married and moved to Michigan where she started her family. She was very active in Agape Bible Study with Dave Williams and had a correspondence prison ministry. Liz, retired from Spartan Plastics in Holt, Michigan. She had a green thumb and a special knack for interior decorating and crafting. She loved music, coloring books, traveling and serving as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She loved all people and her warm heart was always reaching out with a helping hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Arrie Teston; seven siblings; and three grandchildren, Crystal McCall, Adam Roche, and Benjamin Roche.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robert “Butch” (Sally) Wilson Jr., Connie (Robert) Denslow, Sheila Wilson, and Deborah (LeRoy) Allen; step-daughter, Bonnie Westbrook; grandchildren, Melody Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Carrie Donahue, Corey Denslow, Matthew Wilson, Todd Wilson, Alison Resendez, Nicholas Wilson, Cyntel Allen, Samantha Britton, Jodi Barton, and Jeffrey Young; many great-grandchildren; and one surviving sister, Sophie Waters.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
