Naomi Joyce Case, age 85, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 19, 2013. She was born September 14, 1928 to Herbert L. and Mary T. (Summers) Martin in Weakly County Tennessee. She grew up in the Ore Springs community and in 1946 she graduated from Dresden High School, Dresden, Tennessee. She moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1946 and was employed with the State of Michigan Military and the City of Lansing Personnel Department, retiring from the City. She married Versel Case Jr. on July 19, 1958 and immediately became second Mom to Penny, Tom and Mike, and became Mom to Dirk in 1959. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Meals on Wheels Volunteer, a 30 year Volunteer at Sparrow Hospital Gift Shop and a longtime member of Faith Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James and Charles, her husband Versel and daughter Penny Case Hatcher. She is survived by sons, Dirk and Cindy of Port Huron, MI, Thomas and Irene of Alexandria, VA, and Michael and Loretta of Majuro, Marshall Islands; grandchildren, Jody (Frank) Rogers, Marina, CA, Joshua (Natalie) Case of Indianapolis, IN, Amanda Case (Fiancé Trent Wilson) of Indianapolis, IN, Jiblie (Bert) Alberttar of Springdale, AR, Bobby Case of Springdale, AR and Nicole and Janel Case of Majuro, Marshall Islands; great grandchildren, Jacklynn, Helena and twins Regina and Loretta. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Faith Church, 2300 Lake Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI with Reverend Kirk Proctor (Faith Church) and Reverend Dirk Case (YFC/USA) officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery next to her beloved husband Versel. Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Gorsline Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan, and 1 hour before the service at Faith Church. The family suggests contributions to Youth for Christ/USA, P.O.
