Patricia Ann Schmitz

of Lansing, Michigan

Age 79, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister was called home to her Lord on August 11, 2017. Born August 2, 1938 in Anderson, IN. Patricia was a long time member of St. Gerard Church. She was an active volunteer at St. Gerard Church, St. Gerard School, and Lansing Catholic Central High School.

Surviving are her 4 children, Tony Schmitz, Sherryl Schmitz, Kurt (Renee) Schmitz, and Kristen Schmitz; 4 grandchildren, Stephany, Konnor, Jordan, and Blake; 2 great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Jayden; 2 sisters, Judith Canandy, and Marikay Stepp; and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Stanley and her parents, Mary & Loral Canaday.

Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 14, with the 7:00 P.M. Rosary in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Tuesday.at church.
