

Patrick (Pasquale) Frank Dionise Age 83 Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away on November 24 after a 13 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat was born in St. Ippolito Italy. Pat was 8 when he immigrated to America in 1937 with his mother, Virginia, and brother, Paul. Pat worked hard and was successful, even with the struggles of a young immigrant. He graduated from Resurrection in 1948 and MSU in 1955. Pat went on to marry Barbara (Baldino) on August 21, 1965 and had four daughters. He owned many businesses; a laundromat, a Falstaff beer distributor, and ultimately opened Pasquale's restaurant in Grand Ledge. Pat always greeted his patrons with a warm smile because he loved being a part of the community. He truly enjoyed feeding family, friends, and even Grand Ledge athletic teams before a big game. Pasquale's was a favorite restaurant in the town of Grand Ledge thanks to Pat. One of his passions was flying. He was an avid pilot and instructor. He spent many hours flying in his Travel Air 2025 "Charlie." Pat had a passion for his faith, family, and friends. He was a strong believer in God, praying the rosary frequently, attending mass weekly, and passing his faith to his children. Pat is survived by his wife, Barb of 47 years, daughters, Lisa (Michael) Dionise , Laurie (Gary) Keoleian , Andrea Dionise, and Julie (Jim) Spadafore, Grandchildren, Patrick, Sammy, and Ellie Dionise, Natalie, Michael, Sophia, and Gabriella Keolian, and Luca and Anna Spadafore. Brother, Paul Dionise , sister in law, Elaine Baldino , brother in laws, Phil (Carolyn ) Baldino , Jim (Ricki) Baldino . Many nieces and nephews---especially close Virginia (Chuck) DeLuca, Carol (Ron) Kinney, Joe (Rosie) Dionise. Preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Dionise , father, Sam Dionise, mother-in-law, Mary Baldino, father-in-law, Joe Baldino, and sister-in-law Evelyn Dionise. His legacy lives on through his four daughters and nine grandchildren. He will forever be remembered in our hearts and our minds as he soars above the clouds and makes his final ascent into the heavens. Visitation is 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 29, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. Pieter van Rooyen presiding. Rite of committal in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday at church. Contributions may be made to the U. of M.
