Paul Lawrence Birdsong

Age 63, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2015 in Lansing, MI. He was born on August 3, 1952 in Michigan City, IN to Lee and Jannie (Garrett) Birdsong.

Paul loved life, loved to have fun. He loved his son, family, fishing and the great outdoors. As a great cook, many have enjoyed his meals. Paul gave his life to the Lord, and enjoyed a personal relationship with Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Johnny Ray, Willie D, Louberta, Douglas and Jannie Mae. Surviving to cherish his memory are his son Paul L. (Mia) Birdsong, Jr., siblings Essie Turner, Lee P. Birdsong, Jr., Napolun (Pam) Birdsong, Alice Fleming, Alberta (Joseph) Washington, Louis (Bernadine) Birdsong, Vanessa (Joe) Liggins, Mary Ann (Gene) Saunders, 4 grandchildren, aunts Aline Martin, Willie C. Garrett, Evelyn Birdsong, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Tiffany Funeral Home 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48917. Paul's going home celebration service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Mount Hope Church 202 South Creyts Road, Lansing, MI 48917 with visitation one hour prior.
