

Pauline L. Crandall, age 95, of Lansing, Michigan peacefully passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. Pauline was born January 11, 1929 in Ashley, Michigan, the daughter of Paul and Tanila (Samaniego) Zamarron. She worked on the family dairy farm, graduated from Ashley High School, and moved to Lansing to pursue work. She married Charles “Chuck” Crandall in 1948 and they had two sons, Paul and Tim. Chuck predeceased Pauline in September of 1991 and Paul passed away in August of 2019.
Pauline’s most treasured time was spent with her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. Pauline was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and in her younger days engaged in food preparation for the school children and for church events. Aunt Lene was an excellent cook who made the world’s best carrot cake. She loved to read, play Yahtzee, and put together jigsaw puzzles. She was also a kind and compassionate listener – especially with young people.
Surviving are her son, Tim Crandall; grandchildren, Jennifer Bremen and Christopher Crandall; siblings, Ellen Perritt, Ella Conarton, Delores Miller, Paul Zamarron, and Jan (Tom) Shick; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She joins her siblings Rudy Zamarron, Josephine Stebbins, Julie Schanski, and Rosalyn Keyes in Heaven.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Highway, Lansing on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
