Pedro J. Mendez Machado

Born September 10, 1935 in Caracas, Venezuela, the son of the late Juan Mendez and Teresa Machado - Mendez, passed away June 15, 2013 at the age of 77. Pedro proudly served his country in the Venezuelan Army as a Communications Instructor. He was an accomplished attorney, specializing in mediation. He was also an avid reader and loved history. He will be remembered by his family and friends as “Mr. Fix It”, he could literally fix anything. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 58 years, Ana G Hernandez de Mendez; daughters, Ingrid Mendez, Carmen Mendez, Lizzie Mendez; sons, Ernesto Mendez, Carlos Mendez, William Mendez; 17 loving grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Pedro Pablo; sisters, Zoraida, Irama and Olga. Pedro will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. June 19th at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 W. Miller Rd., Lansing, MI.
