Phyllis was a complex amazing woman. She was known as “Mema” and “Ladybug.” But no matter what you called her, she was a special part of your life and always will be remembered with a smile.
Mom was born on July 14, 1934 in Washington, PA. She survived a harsh childhood and many personal and physical challenges throughout her 84 years of life. Most of her adult life was spent in Texas where she last worked in the genealogy department at McLennan County Library in Waco, TX.
After retirement, she moved to the Midwest to be with family in Wisconsin and then Lansing, MI. She made many friends and became the “Ladybug” of the house and the Queen of Bingo at Ivan Woods. Her family of friends grew through PACE and she became a fixture at the Senior Center.
Mom touched so many hearts during her lifetime it would be impossible to recognize each person or event. She was a woman that kept her secrets but opened her heart to so many.
Her smile, her laugh, her hugs – we will miss them and never forget them.
